Aston Villa coach Unai Emery was happy with the fight his players showed in the comeback against West Ham in the FA Cup.
The Villans were trailing 1-0 early on thanks to a goal from Lucas Paquetá, but showed resistance in the second half to turn the tie in their favor.
Amadou Onana scored the equalizer in the 71st minute before Morgan Rogers scored the winner five minutes later.
In general, the Spanish coach was satisfied, but also said that there is room for improvement after fitting back in soon.
He said: “Happy, but we were trying to set ourselves the goal of not conceding an easy goal, but we did it early again.
“But we responded well. We didn’t concede more or less chances again. The players showed our desire to do something in the competition.
“We are conceding a lot of goals, but our most important objective is to win.
“Here we try to be strong, to have a strength. We have done what we have done all season. We responded well and more or less controlled the game.
🗣️ “We created chaos in the attacking third.”

“Of course it is very important which team we will face after today. But now we concentrate because we are in three competitions and we want to achieve something in the Champions League, in the Premier League and now in the FA Cup.”
Match winner Morgan Rogers made a statement in his post-match interview.
He believes the club can win the famous trophy and end its drought.
Rogers said: “A little faith, we were a little more patient. There was more vision of the future.
“We created opportunities, a little more chaos in the final third, and that’s where our goals came from.
“We know we can come back against anyone. We will try to rectify the start of the matches, but we are happy with the way we finished them.
“Why can’t we win it? In a cup competition anything can happen. “You don’t know who you’re going to draw, where you’re going to play.”
