Arne Slot has made it clear that Liverpool wants to keep Mohamed Salah amid the interest of Saudi Arabia clubs.
Slot has said very little about the future of the Egyptian in Anfield with the striker’s contract due to expire at the end of the season.
But with the increasingly strong Saudi noises in recent days, the Dutchman launched this morning at the Hope Club bosses can link the 32 -year -old to a new agreement.
Talking before tomorrow’s trip to Bournemouth, Slot said: “It would be a surprise if someone, wherever outside the world, said they didn’t want Mo Salah.
“It has been so good for so many years that everyone wants it, and has done so well without my advice for a long time, so I can probably continue doing the best for your career, even without my advice.”

Salah is the “biggest trophy”
The Saudi Sports Minister, Prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki Al-Fafaisal, admitted that Salah was the “largest trophy” in the market and expected former Chelsea and Rome forward to move to the Middle East.
But although Slot accepts that Salah is a sought man, he believes he is “clear” that Premier League leaders want him to remain in Merseyside.
He added: “They all want it, including us. We want him to extend (his contract), of course, too, that is clear.
“So I am not surprised that someone wants it. I would not be surprised if other countries too. He has done so many intelligent things in his career, so he will make the right decision in his career for him and, hopefully, too. “
When asked if he has spoken with Salah, as well as Virgil Van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, whose agreements also expire within five months, Slot said: “The answer is, of course, I talk to these players, I talk to them Not every day like Richard (Hughes, sports director), but enough.
“So, of course, we do it (we talk about your future), but as you probably also know, that is not something that I will discuss with you (the media) of what we were talking about. But it is not only with those three who are without a contract, but you also talk about future things with the other players. “
We would love to have it
Salah is currently the best part of the goals in the Premier League with 19, as well as the assistance table with 13 after another brilliant season.
And, speaking with Piers Morgan without censorship, Prince Abdulaziz said: “He marks all the right boxes for us, we would love to have it.
“He is Egyptian and we have a very good relationship, we feel that we are one with the Egyptians, our culture and our history, etc.
“Then, having Mo Salah or other players who are good models to follow would be a privilege. Will it happen? That depends on the clubs decide and see what negotiations happen. ”
The Clubs of the Professional League have again been active in the current transfer window with the striker of Aston Villa Jhon Duran apparently ready to join Cristiano Ronaldo in Al Nassr in an agreement worth £ 64 million.
And Prince Abdulaziz confirmed that the impulse to make Saudi Arabia an attractive destination for the best players will not stop soon.
He added: “We want the league to be among the top five observed and commercially motivated (world leagues) that people aspire to want to play there, and I don’t see any damage to that.
“We can collaborate with everyone in Europe to make sure to comply with that.”
