Nuno Espirito Santo was today rewarded for Nottingham Forest’s brilliant recent run by being named Premier League Manager of the Month for December.
Forest enjoyed five wins in the month and, after beating Wolves 3-0 on Monday, now sit in third place, just six points behind Liverpool.
The East Midlands club were expected to be embroiled in a relegation battle this season but are now challenging for at least a top-four place and a shot at the Champions League.
After opening December with a loss to Manchester City, Forest beat Manchester United, Aston Villa, Brentford, Tottenham and Everton.
Tomorrow they face Luton in the FA Cup.
