Evan Ferguson has called West Ham as a “great opportunity” after signing Brighton & Hove Albion for the rest of the season.
The striker of the Republic of Ireland, Ferguson, will meet with the manager of New Hammers, Graham Potter, and his coaching staff, who gave him his debut while they were in Albion in 2022.
“I know the gaffer well and I hope to work under it,” said Ferguson West Ham website. “I can see and know how Big West Ham United is.
“It was a great opportunity for me to come here. It feels good to be here. Seeing the stadium and being here today, I have a very good feeling. “

Evan Ferguson Transfer: Potter ‘excited’
Ferguson was prolific in the Premier League 2, but only made an appearance in the Premier League before Potter left Brighton for Chelsea in September 2022.
It was established as a regular under the successor of Potter, Roberto de Zerbi, that season, including a streak of nine goals and two assists in 23 games on his way to win the player award of the player of the player of the seagull season.
“He is a player who obviously knows very well, so I am grateful to the board for bringing him,” said Potter, who was a Gaviotas manager when Ferguson joined the Academy of the Bohemian Club of the Irish side in 2021.
“It has many quality attributes as a striker that we believe will benefit the group over the next months. We are excited to integrate it into the team and see it in action in the coming weeks. ”

Evan Ferguson statistics, objectives
Ferguson began in 15 of the first 30 Brighton games last season, with three of his six goals in a hat-trick at home to Newcastle in September 2023.

West Ham will not be able to call Ferguson for his trip to Chelsea on Monday (8pm GMT), when Potter will aim to increase his four -point return in three league games in charge.
Ferguson could make his debut at West Ham at his home in Brentford on Saturday (3pm), having briefly appeared as a substitute for Brighton in his 7-0 shame in Nottingham Forest last Saturday.
Previously on the day of the transfer deadline, West Ham announced that James Ward-Prowse Game Creator has returned to the club after a loan spell in Forest.
