Mr. Trump told journalists last month that he would urge Jordan and Egypt leaders to host the population of Gaza largely homeless and that away about 1.5 million people from Gaza could mean that “we simply clean All that. “

Mr. Trump transmitted what he told the king of Jordan Abdullah when the two made a call last Saturday: “I said: ‘I would love to be assumed more because I am looking at the entire Gaza Strip at this time, and it is a disaster ‘”.

“It is literally a demolition site at this time,” Trump said, referring to the vast destruction caused by the 15 -month war of Israel with Hamas, now stopped for a high fragile fire.

Trump said he was making an appeal similar to the Egyptian president Abdel Fattah El-Sissi during a conversation last week. He said that “he would like Egypt to take people and I would like Jordan to take people.”

Earlier this week, Egypt, Hamas and Jordan, as well as several European countries. rejected Mr. Trump’s suggestion.

The Arab declaration warned that such plans “threaten the stability of the region, the risk of expanding the conflict and undermine the perspectives of peace and coexistence between their peoples.”

The Arab diplomats said they expected to work with the Trump administration to “achieve just and integral peace in the Middle East, according to the solution of two states,” according to the statement.

They asked the international community to help “plan and implement” a comprehensive reconstruction plan so that Gaza guarantees that the Palestinians remain in their lands.

Egypt and Jordan, along with the Palestinians, care that Israel never allows them to return to Gaza once they have gone. Egypt and Jordan also fear the impact that such influx of refugees would have on their economies in difficulties, as well as the stability of their governments.

Jordan is already home to more than 2 million Palestinians. Egypt has warned about the security implications of transferring a large number of Palestinians to the Sinai Peninsula of Egypt, bordering Gaza.

Both countries were the first to make peace with Israel, but support the creation of a Palestinian state in West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem, territories that Israel captured in the War of the Middle East of 1967.
