NFL: Qualification of the offensive and defensive positional groups of the Philadelphia Eagles

They have been a turbellino 24 months for Philadelphia Eagles. Since February 2023, Philly has arrived and lost a Super Bowl, left at the playoffs last year 32-9, and then started 15 wins after starting this season 2-2 to return to the Super Bowl again.

The adversity that the Eagles have had to face has definitely improved the team, but the main office of Philadelphia has done a masterful work in building a winning list only two years after a disappointing loss in the Super Bowl LVII. It could be argued that Eagles are a better team from top to bottom than chiefs.

Let’s analyze the Philadelphia position groups and give each unit a qualification of A F.

Field Marshal – C

With a 46-20 record in the regular season and five playoff victories since he entered the NFL, Jalen Hurts has shown that he can win at all levels. Despite this fact, I am not a person who believes that victories are a field marshal statistic. Victories are achieved by teams.

If we look at the Hurts pass numbers and use it to evaluate your game instead of only victories, we see a field marshal that has been average lower than the average in recent times.

With only 168.3 air yards per game during the postseason, Hurts is averaging the second most important yards among all the playoffs fields. It is also a half of the pack in terms of rating of the field marshal (105.0, tied in sixth).

The degree of Hurts was saved by his career skills. It has the second most hurried TDS in the playoffs (four) and averages 40.7 terrestrial yards per game.

Running: a

If you have read any of my Super Bowl Lix analysis, then you know that I think Saquon Barkley is the best player who enters this game. He ran for more than 2,000 yards during the regular season and followed that with 442 yards per land in the playoffs (147.3 yards per game). I hope Saquon has at least 100 yards by land this Sunday.

Barkley’s backups have also played well. Kenneth Gainwell is averaging almost 4.6 yards for hauling during the postseason. Meanwhile, Will Shipley interrupted a 57 -yard race in the NFC championship game.

The corridor is easily one of the best positions of the Eagles.

Width Receiver – C

I would like to see more consistency of the wide philadelphia receiver room. After being held three trapped for 24 yards in their first two games, AJ Brown caught six passes for 96 yards and a touchdown in the NFC championship. Simultaneously, the Jahan Dotson slot receiver has remained without incipient since its 11 -yard touchdown reception in the wildfront round.

Devonta Smith has been a reliable goal with four trapped in each of the Philadelphia playoff games. Unfortunately, he has not overcome the 55 -yard mark in this postseason.

This is a body of talented wide receiver, but only three containers have caught a pass for the Eagles during this playoffs race. That lack of production means that this position group is only average.

Closed wing – B

If it weren’t for Travis Kelce, NFL fans would be saying that Dallas Goedert has been the best closed wing of the postseason. Goedert carries all wings closed in yards receptors (188) while qualifying secondly at receptions (15). In addition to that, it has been effective in the career game as a blocker and ball bearer (13 yards by land in two haunts). With a reception touchdown in the first round of the playoffs, it is already halfway to its TouchDown production for the regular season.

The only reason why Philly’s closed wings do not get one A is because I don’t know how much I can trust the closed backwater Grant Calcaterra, who only has a reception in the playoffs. If something happened to Dallas Goedert, the closed wing room of Philadelphia would be screwed.

Offensive line – a

The offensive line of the Eagles is the best unit of the team. Three of the five headlines were appointed for the PRO Bowl, but that is just because the left Tackle Jordan Mailata was rejected by the voters. Actually, the Eagles should have had four offensive liners of Pro Bowl this year.

The offensive line helped Philly average 179.3 yards per game per game during the regular season. That number has somehow improved 227.7 yards in the postseason.

The team has delivered 11 captures during the playoffs (tied in most of the league), but that is partly due to Jalen Hurts hurting his knee in the division round against the Los Angeles Rams. I doubt that Philly’s total is so high if Hurts were completely healthy.

I am very excited to see the Eagles offensive line coinciding with the Chiefs defensive front. That will be the battle that determines who wins the Super Bowl Lix.

Defensive line – B

Most of the piladelphia sacks in the playoffs come from the supporter’s position, but that has not prevented the defensive linens of the Eagles from demonstrating.

The defensive Tackle Jalen Carter could be Philly’s best defender. It has two catches and 20 quarterback pressures (mostly for any defensive Tackle in this postseason). It also leads all playoffs DT in Campal Marshal blows and troublesAccording to Pro Football Focus.

Companion Defensive Tackle Jordan Davis has been solid during the Eagles playoff career. The 6’6 ″, 336 lbs. Lineman has a bag and four total tacle in three games.

Even the third Ringer Moro Ojomo has registered a sack and five total cups during this race.

With the veteran defensive wing Brandon Graham on the way to play this Sunday, the defensive line of Philadelphia seems to be ready to have a great game.

Supporter – a

I mentioned it before, but Zack Baun has seemed a candidate for the defensive player of the year during the playoffs. It has 26 cups in total (second in the postseason), 17 cup alone (tied for the first time), two defeated passes, an interception, a forced loose ball and two recoveries of loose ball. Baun has been throughout the field and is a great reason why Eagles have come so far.

Oren Burks and Nolan Smith Jr. have also been turned off. The two have combined for 36 cups in total, five captures, seven cups for loss and three forced loose balls. Even Jalyx Hunt has intensified his game since Nakobe Dean fell with an injury by registering five total cups in the NFC championship game.

Nor can we forget Josh Sweat, who has five district of field marshal in the postseason (sixth more among all the supporters).

Philly could have the deepest supporter of the NFL.

Corner – b

Darius Slay Jr., Cooper Dejean and Quinyon Mitchell have created an area without flying for Philadelphia on the ball defensive side. Slay has five passes deviations in the playoffs (tied first) while Mitchell has diverted four passes (tied in third place), and leaves has three deviations of passes (tied in the fifth). In addition, they have combined for three interceptions.

The problem comes to prevent the teams from passing the ball effectively. Philly is allowing the fifth more aerial yards (245.7 yards per game) in the playoffs and the most receptor yards per game (271.3).

The Eagles corner room is excellent (the second lowest percentage allowed in the playoffs), but they lose a qualification of letters because the crimes have been able to win many yards for the air.

Security – b

CJ Gardner-Johnson and Reed Blankenship complete the high school of Philly. Blankenship has been an unknown hero for the defense of the Eagles with 24 cups in total (second in the team) and a forced loose ball. More importantly, it has only allowed seven receptions in the playoffs, third place among all insurance.

After doing nothing in the Commodines Round, CJ Gardner-Johnson has accumulated 11 total cups in its last two games. He also has Five stopsThe second most among all insurance in the postseason, according to PFF.

Tristin McCollum and Syndey Brown have had an impact with three tacle each.

Similar to the corner room, the Philly Security Room obtains a B due to the problem of passing defense yards.
